Terms of Service
Effective date: 1 June 2025 · Last updated: 1 June 2025
Please read these terms carefully before using ShipOrbit. They form a binding agreement between you and ShipOrbit Internet Pvt. Ltd.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating a ShipOrbit account or using any part of the platform, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use ShipOrbit. If you are using ShipOrbit on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these terms.
2. The ShipOrbit service
ShipOrbit is a shipping aggregation platform that allows registered sellers to compare courier rates, book shipments, track deliveries, and manage COD remittances. We act as an intermediary between you and the courier partners; the actual carriage contract is between you and the courier you select. ShipOrbit is not a courier and does not take physical possession of your shipments.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering contracts to use ShipOrbit. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at security@shiporbit.in if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Prohibited uses
You must not use ShipOrbit to ship prohibited or hazardous goods (as defined by the courier partners and applicable Indian law), to commit fraud or misrepresent shipment contents or value, to violate any applicable export control or sanctions regulations, or to attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the platform.
5. Rates, billing, and wallet
Rates shown are indicative and based on the declared weight and dimensions you provide. Final charges may differ if the courier records a different weight or if additional surcharges apply (fuel, remote area, etc.). You authorise ShipOrbit to debit your wallet for the estimated charge at the time of booking and to apply any adjustment once the courier confirms the final weight. Wallet top-ups are non-refundable except as required by law.
6. Weight disputes
If you believe a courier has applied an incorrect weight, you may raise a dispute through the ShipOrbit dashboard within 7 days of the shipment being delivered or returned. We will file the dispute on your behalf and communicate the outcome. ShipOrbit makes no guarantee that disputes will be resolved in your favour; outcomes depend entirely on the courier's decision.
7. COD remittances
For cash-on-delivery shipments, the courier collects payment from your customer and remits it to ShipOrbit, which then credits your wallet after deducting any outstanding charges. Remittance timelines depend on the courier (typically 7–10 business days after delivery). ShipOrbit is not liable for delays caused by the courier.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShipOrbit's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the service shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to ShipOrbit in the three months preceding the claim. ShipOrbit is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of profit, or loss of data.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate the relationship at any time. You may close your account from the Settings page; we will process any pending shipments and remit any wallet balance (minus outstanding charges) within 14 business days. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for material breach of these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will give you at least 14 days' notice of material changes via email or in-product notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
12. Contact
